Woods Cove Inn reopens in Laguna Beach

Woods Cove Inn, a 22-room boutique hotel located along Laguna Beach’s iconic Pacific Coast Highway, reopened in May 2026, emerging as a newly independent coastal retreat. Previously operating under the Sonder brand, the property debuts with a renewed identity rooted in local character, thoughtful design, and relaxed California living.

Designed by CPD Studio, the hotel blends clean, modern lines with warm, textural elements inspired by nearby Woods Cove beach, known for its commanding cliffs, sandy shores, and crystal-clear tide pools. Each of the 22 guestrooms features natural wood touches, marble bathrooms, and commissioned artwork by local artist Jordan Nicole of High Desert Studios.
