Sacramento International Airport will begin a multi-year, $1.3 billion transformation in 2026 designed to enhance the traveler experience and support regional growth. The first phase includes an expansion of Terminal A with new gates, an additional parking structure and upgraded passenger amenities. Dining will receive a local refresh with Sacramento favorites joining the lineup, while a $2 million public art investment will highlight regional storytelling throughout the airport. Rolling out through 2027 and beyond, the project marks the airport’s largest upgrade in more than a decade and reflects Sacramento’s continued rise as a culinary and cultural destination.
