Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the centerpiece is the Hiram Morgan Hill House, a Queen Anne country estate; the Morgan Hill History Museum, housed in the 1911 Acton farmhouse; and the Centennial History Trail and rose garden. There's also the Native American Garden honoring the Amah Mutsun people who have called this land home for more than 10,000 years.
Napa's Toy Museum & di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art

Concord Pavilion 50th Anniversary Pop-Up Museum
The Concord Pavilion has hosted unforgettable concerts from Bing Crosby and Smokey Robinson to Stevie Nicks and the Foo Fighters. Visit Concord invites music lovers to relive that history at the Pavilion's 50th Pop-Up Museum in Downtown Concord. Free and open Tuesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 2025, the exhibit celebrates five decades of live music and culture with memorabilia, iconic concert posters and photography. Visitors can also explore Frank Gehry's original design images that shaped the Pavilion into a Bay Area landmark and enjoy special receptions with photographers and Pavilion insiders.
Rancho Cordova’s Mills Station Arts & Cultural Center
Located inside of what used to be a stopping place for travelers, the Mills Station Arts & Cultural Center (The MACC) is where a historical landmark meets the beauty of the arts. Roam to find free local exhibits from artists such as veteran Trish Morris-Plise and travel exhibits from artists like activist Betty LaDuke for free, or attend artist workshops and talks, concerts and film screenings for a small fee. The MACC expands the art scene in Rancho Cordova one work at a time.

Santa Barbara's Couture Pattern Museum
A hidden gem tucked in Santa Barbara's Art District, the Couture Pattern Museum offers private tours through rare couture patterns, Hollywood costume pieces and originals like an authentic 1950s Balenciaga dress. Visits include tea and French pastries, naming rights to a digitized pattern, a take-home gift and a year of access to the online archive. Capacity is intimate, so appointments are booked online in advance.
Mendenhall Museum in Buellton
The family-run Mendenhall Museum in wine country dives into California's motoring past with private and immersive tours of vintage gas pumps, porcelain signs, race cars and memorabilia started by collector Jack Mendenhall. His son and daughter-in-law expanded the collection while preserving the original spirit.
Six Small Museums with Big Variety in Solvang
