The Golden State welcomed 368,000 visitors from India in 2017 — 30 percent of all Indian visitors to the United States.
“India is a critically important opportunity market for California, and our forward-thinking travel industry is eager to roll out the red carpet for Indian visitors,” said Visit California President and CEO Caroline Beteta.
By 2020, California expects 418,000 Indian visitors – a 45 percent increase from 2018. Indian tourists also stay longer than those from any other country – 19 days – and spend a collective $815 million in California.
