Eureka! Awards 2019

Entries can be submitted as a PDF, JPG, PNG, MPG or other digital file format which accurately represents your work as it was originally published. URL links pointing to placements will also be accepted at the end of this form.

Categories

Submitting for the following award (may only choose ONE (1) category per entry):

Includes magazine print stories (PDF required)

To qualify, the article must be:

• At least 250 words in length

• Solely focused on California

• Published in an outlet that primarily reaches out-of-California readers

Includes newspaper print stories

To qualify, the article must be:

• At least 250 words in length

• Solely focused on California

• Published in an outlet that primarily reaches out-of-California readers

Includes online versions of magazines and newspapers, as well as online-only sites

To qualify, the article must be:

• At least 250 words in length

• Solely focused on California

• Published on a site that primarily reaches out-of-California readers

Open to bloggers; restricted to individual bloggers or small writing staffs of 5 or under

To qualify, the blog post must be:

• At least 250 words in length

• Solely focused on California

• Published on a site that primarily reaches out-of-California readers

Can be a television, radio or podcast feature

To qualify, the segment must be:

• Solely focused on California

• On a television, radio or podcast outlet that primarily reaches out-of-California readers

Can be YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or Twitter-based, or a combination of all. Note: does NOT include bloggers, as this is a separate category.

To qualify, the content must be:

• A specific campaign or ‘portfolio’ of California content. This can include images, social media posts, etc.

• Accompanied by any supporting engagement data or other statistics

• Intended to reach an out-of-California audience

Includes print, online, blogger, or broadcast outlets that are based in-state. Note: content developed for California visitor guides is not eligible.

To qualify, the placement must be:

• Published in an in-state outlet, primarily reaching a California audience

• At least 250 words in length for print or online placements

• Solely focused on California

Media/Documents

Documents and media files (PDFs, spreadsheets, photos, audio, video etc.) must be emailed to eurekaawards@njfpr.com, noting your name/outlet in the subject line.
