“Adventures in Kidifornia” Web Series Debuts

Original ‘edutainment’ series launches to inspire young travelers

Sacramento, Calif. (May 23, 2018) – Speaking to moms and their pint-sized explorers, Visit California launched a new original ‘edutainment’ series this month, “Adventures in Kidifornia.” Equal parts education and entertainment, the new series shines a spotlight on California family experiences that provide both fun and enrichment.

“Last year, California was renamed ‘Kidifornia’ to showcase our state’s limitless opportunities for family fun,” said Visit California President and CEO Caroline Beteta. “This series will inspire families to see vacation time as a chance for discovery, not only in museums but also at our state’s many iconic attractions and by exploring the great outdoors in our national and state parks and beyond.”

Using a blend of live action footage, animation and fun facts, each episode of “Adventures in Kidifornia” follows parents and children to a different attraction as they explore and learn along the way.

The pilot season includes three episodes shot in sunny San Diego – known for an abundance of family-friendly offerings. Two episodes launched this week:

  • Adventures in Kidifornia: Cabrillo National Monument
This episode takes viewers along to retrace the steps of Juan Cabrillo, the first European to explore the west coast. The explorers (a mother-daughter duo) check out epic views of the Pacific, go whale watching, and learn about the delicate ecosystem that lives in the tide pools on the beach below.

  • Adventures in Kidifornia: USS Midway Museum
Discover a floating museum as a father-daughter duo board the USS Midway, once the world's largest aircraft carrier, and discover its amazing history with a veteran who served on the ship itself. They learn about the sailors who lived aboard, give orders from the bridge, and even fly a vintage bomber.

The third episode, featuring SeaWorld, will debut next month.

The new series lives on Dream365TV alongside Visit California’s other original series, such as “Jonny Moseley’s Wildest Dreams” and “California Dream Eater.”

“Adventures in Kidifornia” released in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Mexico, with a launch in China to soon follow.
