California Tourism Facts and Figures
• Domestic and International visitors spent $109.6 billion in California in 2013. This spending supported 965,800 jobs and accounted for combined earnings of $32.3 billion. Travel spending generated $7.1 billion in state and local tax revenues.
• International Travel - California saw a projected 14.7 million person-trips in 2012. Approximately 6.2 million were from an overseas origin, 7.2 million from Mexico and 1.5 million arrivals from Canada.
• In 2012, California saw 215.1 million domestic person-trips, 172.5 million of those were leisure trips. The forecast for 2013 is an increase of 2% in total domestic and an increase of 2.1% in leisure domestic trips.
